MBA Programs in the USA with Full Tuition Scholarship Opportunities

The cost of an MBA program from some of the leading educational institutions in the USA is not insignificant. Thankfully, the benevolence of donors and sponsors, who continue to invest in higher education afford many students the opportunity to pursue a degree they otherwise would not have been able to afford. This post looks at 5 MBA scholarship opportunities, applicable to both domestic and international students.



1. Duke University

The most prestigious scholarship at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business is the Thomas F. Keller Scholarship, which is awarded to a select group of admitted students and covers full tuition costs plus additional funds to help support the recipient in leading a community development project. Keller Scholars are recognized for excellence in academics and their commitment to improving their communities through leadership and service, and as a group, represent the diversity of the total Fuqua community.


2. New York University

Established in 2013, The William R. Berkley Scholarship Program supports exceptional college seniors or recent college graduates who wish to pursue their MBA full-time at NYU Stern. This scholarship is only available for candidates pursuing the two-year Full-time MBA, Fashion & Luxury MBA or Andre Koo Tech MBA.

The scholarship covers the following:

  • full tuition and mandatory fees

  • stipend for housing and educational expenses

    • $56,000 - two-year Full-time MBA ($14,000 per term)

    • $42,000 - Tech MBA and Fashion & Luxury MBA ($14,000 per term)

3. University of Notre Dame

Meyer Fellows receive full tuition fellowship plus a stipend of $16,500 per year in the program. Meyer Fellows also receive preferred registration to ensure access to in-demand classes.


4. University of Virginia

The Jefferson Fellowship is the premier graduate fellowship offered at the University of Virginia and is awarded by the Jefferson Scholars Foundation, an independent merit-based scholarship and fellowship program at the University. Darden Jefferson Fellowships are granted to the most exceptional candidates from anywhere in the world who demonstrate qualities such as ethical leadership, diplomatic decisiveness, a track record of putting ideas into action and a superb record of academic achievement. Each Darden Jefferson Fellow will receive full tuition and fees, health insurance, and a $20,000 living stipend. Additionally, Fellows may receive a $7,000 stipend for their MBA program to defray the cost of the required laptop, support another research-related activity, fund a global learning experience or cover costs related to the fellow’s research project.


5. Vanderbilt University

The Dean’s Scholars Award Program is the flagship scholarship program at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management. Selected annually from the incoming MBA class, Dean’s Scholars receive a full-tuition scholarship. One Dean's Scholar is selected from each year’s cohort as the Dean’s Scholar Award Winner and receives an additional $15,000 yearly stipend.


Consideration for most of these full tuition scholarships tend to require a neatly crafted and timely application submission. As such, it is important to give yourself ample time to work on your application(s), rather than waiting for the last minute!
