Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of institutions aside the Ivy Leagues that provide prospective international students the opportunity of obtaining a full - tuition scholarship at the undergraduate level. This post will highlight 5 of these universities to look out for.
1. American University
Location: Washington, DC
Scholarship: The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship promotes educational access and opportunity while enhancing international diversity. The AU EGL scholarship covers all billable AU expenses (full tuition, room and board) for one international student who will need a visa (preferably an F-1 or J-1 student visa) to study in the United States. The scholarship does not cover non-billable expenses such as mandatory health insurance, books, airline tickets and miscellaneous expenses (approximately U.S.$4,000 per year). The AU EGL scholarship is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, based on continued satisfactory academic performance.

2. Boston University
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Scholarship: The Trustee Scholarship at Boston University is one of the most prestigious scholarship, and scholars become part of a unique campus community that offers intellectual, cultural and social opportunities. Competitive applicants who are among the most accomplished in their class and demonstrate exceptional engagement in their schools and communities should apply. A Trustee Scholarship covers full undergraduate tuition plus mandatory undergraduate student fees, and is renewable for four years if certain criteria are met.

3. Clark University
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Scholarship: Awarded to approximately five students each year, the Presidential LEEP Scholarship is a prestigious award for students whose academic record and leadership potential places them at the very top of Clark’s applicant pool. The scholarship covers full tuition, on-campus room and board for all four years, regardless of a family’s financial need. To maintain the scholarship, a student must meet year-to-year continuation requirements; these requirements are included with the student’s admission and awards letter.

4. Babson College

Scholarshi: The Weissman Scholarship program provide four-year, full-tuition scholarships plus financial support for scholars to develop their unique talents and pursue their personal passions. Scholarship: The Karsh International Scholars Program provides eight semesters of full tuition, room and board, and mandatory fees to Duke University. Scholars also have access to generous funding for domestic and international summer experiences, including opportunities for independent research both in the summer and during the academic year.
